I got a new female betta fish about 2 weeks ago. A 10 gallon cycled planted tank.
Well, she has a lot more attitude than my 3 year old male (in a separate tank ofc.)
She pulls up and rips plants a lot, I've pretty much resigned myself to getting cheap normal looking plants, rather than the pretty red ones that I prefer.
I use weighted bendable anchor things (dont know the exact word, sorry.) And glue the stems to those. Or I glue them to rocks. But she is ruthless and manages to rip them out every time.
Any tips? I want to keep a planted tank for her, but she seems adamant against the idea, haha.
Pictures for reference, before and the carnage ensued.
