I'm a travel nurse near Tampa, tried this Little lake, too much vegetation. Does anyone have any recommendations for bank fishing down here?

  1. Thanks, but yeah, I tried carolina rig lizard, Texas rig ol monster, swim jig, and frog/rat. Big balls of vegetation every time, it’s balled up on my sinkers. I’m used to TN lakes (and a boat.)

  2. PM me if you want. I want to know closer to where you are so I can give recs. Born and raised in st Pete and live in Odessa now so know the area well

  3. I did a guided trip on Lake Tarpon while there on travel work. The boat ramp at AL Anderson park, maybe? The park also offered a decent amount of bank fishing spots. Good luck!

  4. A Bagley’s Grass Rat, would skate right over those Lilly pads. Reel it over the pads, then pause it in the openings. It could be explosive.
