4 months in, 1st time Betta owner. I feed my little guy twice a day. Breaky: 1 pellet. Dinner: I switch up diet and its a very small amount of either frozen bloodworms, frozen daphnia, another pellet, or some dry betta snackies. I have caught wind on here certain pellet brands are not good for their digestion, health..etc.

Question for Betta experts: What is the best quality pellet brand for Betta's?

1st pic is my little guy cuz I love him.
2nd pic is current brand I use from when I bought him.
He resides in a 5 gallon live planted tank.

Fun fact about him? Hates the color red…..HATES it. lol

Pretty betta! I feed Hikari betta bio gold, seems to be the best I can find. You wanna make sure whatever you feed is insect protein based, no ground peas or anything (they’re insectivores). Also depending on your fish you might think about feeding a little more, I do 4-6 pellets once a day, usually in the morning, with a couple bloodworms once a week in place of pellets

Ultra Fresh Betta Pro shrimp patties are really good, Hikari baby vibra bites decent too.

I have the only Betta that detests bug bites.

Frozen food though is the way to go (brine shrimp, chopped mysis shrimp, tubifex worms, occasional mini bloodworms, daphnia, copepods etc). They definitely like this best as non processed pure protein.
