Am I overreacting?? I just bought this Shimano Metanium DC for $500 and went to a local shop to have it spooled. I walk back in and the guy is winding on neon yellow 6lb monofilament from a bargain bin! I screamed 'This is a high performance digital control reel, it needs high-end braid!' and he told me, 'Fish can't read the price tag, honey. Expensive line is just for people who can't cast.' FISH CAN'T READ?? He literally disrespected my investment! I refused to pay and he called me a
'tackle snob.' I’m thinking about reporting him to Shimano management what do you guys think?

We have a fishing circle jerk sub now? 😶🌫️
What the fuck is this stupid shit?
LOL.
Not very hard to spool yourself. Learn. And the guy that spooled you reel probably has never been fishing before lol.
I assume this is a jerk post, but no shit, the following story did actually happened to me.
I went to Bass Pro to shop for an upgrade to my basic level Pflueger spinning reel and was looking at Daiwa Tatulas and Shimano Stratic CI4s–reels around the $200 price range.
The salesman tried talking me out of those to buy some $40 Shimano that had some type of bail trigger (Quickfire maybe?) because that way he could cast one-handed like a baitcaster because he didn’t know how to use a baitcaster. Dude was probably in his 50’s. Spent the rest of the time talking about why he thought spending that much on a spinning reel is crazy and that baitcasters are dumb.
Like bruh, what are you doing working at a Bass Pro?
