31" and around 10 pounds out of Lake Champlain. There's a bunch in there, the bait shop guy said it used to be all walleyes but these guys decimated the population.

I mean, i dont mind if the walleyes are eaten if it means I get that kinda big boy! Lots other close lakes in ADK if u really wanna catch walleye anyway

  2. People on Champlain love to begrudge the lake trout and blame them for the decline in Walleye, Salmon and most of anything else you can name. I’d take that with a grain of salt. Lots of folks on Champ talk crap about Lake trout but there aren’t a ton of fisheries that consistently put out fish that big on hard or soft water consistently.. Most of the bass charters out here switch to lake trout in the summer. Why wouldn’t they when can pretty consistently put clients on lakers in the high 20 inch class. All that to say that Champlain Lake Trout are awesome and old heads on Champlain can suck it. Great fish.

  3. Excellent fighting fish……super strong…..I like mine done on a bbq with spices and lemon. Salmon consistency but not as flavourful but still enjoyable.
