Yeah, I’d say so. I never fill a spool all the way to the edge. It’s personal preference, but I think a completely full spool is more prone to tangle if things don’t spool evenly.

Maybe just a little, but I’d fish it and you’re going to trim line here and there. But I’ve also been throwing baitcasters for 40 years.
If you’re brand-new at baitcasters, it could be troublesome if you tend backlash a bit now and then. If I zoom in, you already have a loose wind on the left.
