Hi! I just wanted to get a few extra opinions on my betta’s health. He’s been eating well, swimming normally, and acting like himself, and I’ve been keeping up with water changes.
His water parameters are all within a good range, and there haven’t been any major changes to his tank recently. I might just be overthinking, but I wanted to check if anything looks off visually to more experienced betta keepers.
Any feedback is appreciated — thank you!

From these photos there are some things to monitor. Best to respond to AutoMod first.
Fin damage looks like it. I might be mis-identifying but if you look at the tail fin and bottom fin its frayed slightly. Could be early fin-rot but if you have sharp decor, gravel, or nippy tank mates it could be that. Could be normal coloration but the red specifically near the fin bases does seem odd to me, but it could just be marble genes. Also monitor closely and keep a sharp eye on water parameters.
Best would be to remove sharp decor (including substrate if sharp/coarse)/nipping tankmates and monitor closely to see if the fraying gets worse (we can diagnose fin-rot safely then, which is usually treated with cleaner water (more frequent water changes and good parameters) and tannins (provide stress reduction and some bacterial/fungal pressure, supportive add-on mainly)). Please post update if possible!
