Had a blast, love my Daiwa BG and Okuma Rockaway. Going back next week to try and get a PB to beat this monster😂

I was using the ol Carolina rig with a 1.5oz egg sinker and Gulp camo sand worm. 30lb braid and 15lb seaguar inshore. I didn’t even feel this guy bite. I would have felt this even though it’s small on my freshwater set ups even MHs. Tips to add more sensitivity? Lighter line or sinker? Sliding sinker set up?
Thanks, it was tough to feel bites with the waves. Like I said I usually kayak lake fish or small rivers.

1.5 oz may be too heavy for the surf you were seeing – it’s easier to feel the bites if you go lighter. Try 3/4 oz? I do prefer a sliding carolina rig if the fish are small.
