45g saltwater.

2 clownfish, 1 lawnmower blenny, 3 pajama cardinal fish, 2 trochus snails, 1 hermit crab, fire shrimp, peppermint shrimp, 3 nassarius snails and a rose tip anemone which looks dead/dying
.

Overgrown with hair algae, bubble algae and red slime. Doing 5 gallons weekly. Salinity is 1.029, no ammonia nitrites, a little bit of nitrates
I just don’t know what to do next..

  1. If there are available nutrients then algae will use them – add your own macro algae or coral to use the nutrients before the ‘pest’ algae can use them 🙂

Edit: your salinity looks a little high to me, I dont think that will have an effect on algae but could be bad for the animals, someone please fact check me on that tho, thanks x

  2. background would do wonders for sure, even if its not related to fixing the tank’s ecosystem

  3. I dont know saltwater, but algae sticks where water is a bit still. I dont really see much movement in the tank.
