My first casting reel from my Abu Garcia Vengeance combo I bought about a year ago. The line guide kept getting stuck at one end of the worm gear and has had a missing tension knob for quite some time. Figured why not try to fix it ‘in house’. Turned into a crash course on reel refurbishing and although she’s rough, it’s in much better shape than it was. Made the mistake of pressing the button while the springs were exposed and getting them set again was not pleasant. Its been dunked in brackish water and not well kept but It’s fully functional now though and no spare parts after the fact 😎
