Got a 25L tank with some live plants it's in cycle right now.
There is some stuff on top of the water, don't know what that is.
Water temp is 25 and filter is running smoothly.

If you have space in the tank I reccomend a coconut house for your betta if you’d like. And a leaf hammock or one of those floating logs. Bettas like some places to perch on near the top to rest só it’s easier to breathe and some hiding spots. My betta likes hiding in his coconut house.

Looks like some type of floater possibly red root that’s good looks a little sparse but it looks good maybe try to add more plant clutter mine prefers thick pothos roots hanging in the tank to lay in near the rim

“Good enough” should never be the aim. You can definitely make it better with not much effort

Most important thing is the water. Tank needs to be cycled before you get the fish. A proper test kit, API master test is the best. Bettas like to rest near the top, a hammock or leaf to rest on. Live plants are great for betta fish. Your tank is big enough i just wouldn’t use any huge hardscape.
