Took 5 tries, my leader went from 24 feet down to about 18 (which ended up being perfect anyway).
Not super thrilled with the lower portion but I used a 4 foot wide tree to tighten the knot, set my 6500ss drag tight, and slow steady pull until, well… it looked like this. wrapped two more half hitches, cut and burnt.
I would've done a rizzuto but I clipped my tag too short.
What are your opinions?
50lb braid onto 50lb mono, shark hunting and using mono as the shock leader going to coated cable. Trilene knot on the swivel from mono to cable.

Looks good to me dog. One thing you notice when cinched down right is your braid will “change” color or look darker. Beyond that, letter fly!

This is how I learned and mastered the FG knot. Very rarely shows this way in any other pro video I’ve seen but it makes is MUCH easier and faster IMO.
