I just moved and after unloading my fish tank I saw that the plastic on the rim had gotten cracked in a Couple places and maybe the silicone got a little messed up? (Silicone looked rough because I had resealed it at one point. Does it still look water safe? My fish are temporarily in a 35 gallon trash

Hell nah
very unsafe
Bin it
Top braces can be replaced but that center brace is structural to a degree.
I’m more concerned about what damage the glass may have sustained from when the brace got cracked.
This is no longer a water safe tank.
Time for a new tank. Compromised integrity with the cracks where they’re at.
Gonna be honest. I have a 55 that’s 2 years old with the same middle brace crack. It’s been fine, no bowing, no cracks, but technically it could fail.
I had an 80 gallon like that for years. And it made me more uneasy everytime I looked at it. I would not use it.
The water will be safe, but your fish and floor won’t be.
Nope.
Dang!
One of our 55gal tanks out of 20 others is doing the same thing. Haven’t had any issues with it, it’s been close to a year on this one.
No, the crack on the rim indicated the plastic holding the tank is compromised. I had a few tanks that sat outside and this is what happened to some of the sections on the rim when the plastic weakens. The tank had no water and was only exposed to the elements.
When it cracks like this it means the plastic is so brittle that it breaks up. This is too much of a risk you are taking.
