Freshwater shrimp maybe? I don’t have a picture of it anymore, but we get clumps of them on our lines when we troll for walleye in Lake Erie

I know of a few lakes where immediately, or within an hour of sunset, your vexilars become useless, they become a whole screen of garbled lines, It’s because of these, and similarly linked I would say, to healthy lakes with awesome fishing during the day. There is plenty of forage to support a great ecosystem of different fish.
