  1. for some reason the text didn’t post but i’ll reiterate: i found this at a family friends birthday party. it’s the daughters who i believe is around 7. i want to save it and give it a better home (yes there’s a betta in here that seemingly was healthy. i think they’ve had it for about 4 months… with what im assuming is the original water)

however i dont know how to ask a little girl if i can take her fish away from her. what should i do? i dont really want to tell them that they’re doing a bad job to their face either

i mean ? they obviously doesn’t enjoy keep that fish. just ask and be honest. say every living things matter and needs care. if they can’t do it, especially getting a bigger tank !!!!!! then they should give to you. and they can visit anytime. or you offer to help them build a tank. they’ll appreciate it. 5-10 gal planted you just do 10-25% water change weekly which is prob better than having to change 100% and looks better.

  3. You need a water conditioner like Seachem prime and to do a partial water change of around 25-50% at first with temperature matched dechlorinated water. Changing too much water at once can send fish into shock and kill them. Dm me if you have any questions and I can try to walk you through it
