Within 24 hours our bettas tail got destroyed. The last pic is how he was two days ago. I don’t know if this is finrot or biting?
Water parameters planted aquasoil 30 liter tank. (8G)
Nitrate 10 ppm
Nitrite 0 ppm
Hardness 50 ppm
KH 80 ppm
PH: 7.6
Ammonia: 0
Temp is 25.5C / 28F
Two days ago I poured in some boiled cattapa and added a leaf.
He’s been with us since 3 weeks, and he never sits still. When he spots me he swims around like a maniac, to the point I was wondering if he was maybe glass surfing. He has no other tank mates.
Since my other betta is a mega lazy one whos never been that active I am in need of advice!

Posted most of the info in my post.
Tank has cycled for two weeks with old filtermaterial and shrimp tank filter goo, plus water from two other stable tanks. I have used active bacteria as well in the first week.
I’ve had the betta for 3 weeks now.
I do weekly water changes of 10-25% depends on how it looks. Our water here is very clean so I don’t use a water primer.
I test daily with strips, and cross reference them with my other two tanks to be sure. I use API test voor nitrites so the liquid drop one.
Since last week I feed him 2 vibra bites 2/3 times a day and on Friday and Saturday he gets bloodworms. On Sunday he fasts. The first week I got him he got one piece a day sometimes two times a day to slowly introduce the tank to the increase in ammonia.
Decorations are 1 Buddha statue which has been in another tank for 2 years. A piece of driftwood, floater plants, a rock, anubias and some stemplanrs and crypts.
