Wasn’t even while he was drilling a hole, he was trying to loosen the drill chuck to take the auger off and his arm bumped the trigger. Good lesson to not wear gloves when doing anything with the auger, I’m usually pretty good about that rule but would forget now and then. Will not be forgetting any longer.

Was that before or after the beer?
I guess the lesson here should be remove the battery before you remove the auger. I’m still having a hard time seeing how this happened. Glove or no glove this was preventable, but at least you learned the lesson without the pain.
Always zero all potential energy on a machine when possible
Remove batterie, turn off engine, apply security if impossible to remove energy
