If it runs and it cuts, just run it. If the blade is dull, put new blades on it and run it. It’ll be fine just the way it is. I have one just like it’s 20 years old runs like a champ.

Toss it in the garbage and go buy a Maven. Why restore a 25 yr old auger…..Listen to other guy…if it works run it, who cares about some surface rust….

Get the blades sharpened or replace them. Send it.
