I have a trip to Winnipeg coming up and I need some help buying lures. I know that rattle baits and flashy spoons are the go to, but what size?
I have some 5/16 oz ripping raps and 1/4 Oz leech flutter spoons and VMC tinglers already. Is that the preferred size? Also, what colors work best?
I plan on running 10 pound braid with a 8 pound mono leader on my rods. That should be good right?

Good luck dude. We had some decent luck with pink/white jig heads and minnows and some classic rattle baits. (They seemed to like blue and gold on the rattles not sure why). We were out near Lester Beach/hillside area and are heading back out this weekend as well. Hope this helps! Keep those lines tight and the stick on the ice!
