hey yall, i picked up some red Jasper for my new tank from my LFS, bc I thought it looked cool, and some admittedly brief research said it was almost entirely inert. I put it in my aquarium, and now it seems to be glowing a truly obnoxious orange. Is this normal? did I get scammed somehow?? I'm so lost I didn't intent to buy the glofish of rocks

its just your lighting
Agreed about the lighting. I’d try different shades orncokors and you should find a happy medium.
Where did you get that awesome 3d printed substrate cave?
lots of quartz rich rocks like agates, feldspars and jaspers are dull and dark when dry but become vibrant and colorful when wet. this appears to be normal.
Whoa whats that cool tunnel you have??
Looks great imo. Add plants and it will all blend in.
