Betta Fish: Goomba got his wings 🤍

Goomba was my first ever fish and I fell in love with him more than I could’ve ever imagined!

He started showing signs of dropsy over the weekend, I had started treatment but last night he passed peacefully in his tank. I’m so sad he had to suffer, but I’m so glad we could give him a life in a beautiful 10gal instead of a tiny cup.

Goomba loved making very impressive bubble nests in his frog bit, he put up with our ghost shrimp stealing his food, I think he had a love hate relationship with our jade snail and I don’t think he knew our nerite snail even existed lol.

He would watch me cook and was always interested by groceries set out by his tank.

I really knew nothing about fish before him and he had so much more personality than I could’ve ever imagined. I think I will forever be a fish person because of him! I learned so much about bettas and fish keeping and I’ve truly fallen in love, all thanks to Goomba.
