Here’s my one tank as I’ve been experimenting with my duckweed. Top photo is immediately pre-harvest, middle is immediately post-harvest, the bottom is one week later when I harvested again because it came back with a vengeance
Mind you I was not fertilizing at this point. I am now fertilizing again because apparently the roots are way too long which is a sign of nutrient deficiency, so that’s fun

Bettas aren’t THAT stupid. It will just push away the water lettuce to breathe. But the plants below may have problem with not enough light.

Dont forget, wild bettas live in rice paddies…dense vegetation environment
He’ll be fine especially since you have the betta log thats clear of plants.
You can also use a comb to thin it out as needed!
