Browsing Walmart clearance and a $97 rod for $40. Online says more sensitive then the gx2 models. And in a length I don't have yet. But not sure. Thoughts?

The FX is one of their lower end reels. That being said it’s probably still a solid Shimano reel.
The FX series rods are pretty decent for a low cost rod. I’ve only got the older “aero glass” (fiberglass) FX rods and they haven’t let me down. the newer FX rod with the graphite should be a decent rod for that price.
