Yea from what I understand. Look at my profile I bought one to pair with an Eagle Claw Telescopic Rod for traveling. Should pair with a light or medium rod I believe.

Just buy reels because you think they look cool, that’s what I do. Hasn’t done me wrong yet, just don’t go super cheap.
