In Missouri- came here to help with a critical labor shortage at one of our facilities. I’m working 6-6 almost every day but I’ve got Tuesday off. I know this pond is stocked but it’s frozen and I don’t know any good running water spots. Not too much to do in town but if I could grab a collapsible Walmart combo (something I could take back and was already thinking of getting to keep in my car) and mark a second state I’ve caught fish in then that would be awesome.

It’s hard to say without knowing how thick the ice is now.

Is it stocked with trout? Go find some bricks or brick sized rocks. Toss one out and make a hole in the ice. Use powerbait with a weight 18 inches above the bait. Cast onto the ice past your hole. Reel the bait to the hole and let it sink to the bottom. Bank/ice fishing. It works

  2. looks like a hard freeze, but the temp only gets above freezing between 9am and 4pm on Monday, might not be long enough for a thaw

Probably not. I’m close to Memphis, little further south than this, and we’re still almost fully frozen over. We MIGHT thaw out by Monday evening, but what this looks like now is how our ponds looked 2 days ago and we’re still almost totally covered. About 10 feet of access on 2 edges.
