I ordered this little stand to hold a 5 gallon hospital tank without measuring. The edges of the tank hang off a tiny bit. I’m thinking I should probably buy a new stand but want another opinion. Is this an accident waiting to happen?

Honestly, this is very minimal. Is the stand rated to hold over 50 pounds though?
Your probably fine. It’s 50ish lbs of water little more if you do sand or rocks
If you are really worried throw a piece of nice wood across the top.
Normally I’d say yes it’s a problem… but five gallon tanks are built like um… tanks. I carry them around full occasionally.
Wouldn’t you like the look of it better somewhere else, though? That overhang would bother me all day.
5 US gallons? So < 20L? Brother you could hold that up with your hands. It’ll be fine.
