I bought my first fly combo. A small max catch extreme kit, 3wt & 8”4ft. Here’s my small box of flies. The flies in the last photo are for my birthday so I do not have them yet! Most of them a guy I know from the river kindly tied up for me & sold them at a cheap price, some are Temu flies I bought a year or so ago & the rest I either bought from shops or from “garage sale” type places. How am I doing?

The only other fly I would recommend is a zebra midge. I know they look like nothing because that’s what I thought when I started but on a dropper rig I have caught my biggest trout
