My new Pflueger President 6’6 combo arrived today. I lack even the basic fundamentals of fishing, but got so excited I couldn’t resist spooling it up and taking it for some dock fishing. Put some 10lbs Berkley Trilene line on it, and a 2/0 ewg hook with a 4 inch green pumpkin senko texas rigged on it. The line was too loose i think, kept coming off the reel too freely, so after a few casts I had to re spool it. Beginner’s mistake!
Tons of fun, no luck catching anything but i’ll be back at it tomorrow

Same. Haven’t really fished since I was a kid. But watching some fishing youtube channels got me wanting to pick up the hobby. Got myself a baitcaster and slowly learning to be proficient at it. I’ve only caught a grass carp on ky 10 outings out… but its the fun of learning something new that drives me.
