Imo, no, add a trailer if thats how youre feeling, I prefer the 3/8s myself, think they fit a size 3 hook on em so just a little smaller for better hookup ratios, I used to swear by 1/2 and 4/0 hooks as a general default but ive sized down and noticed a lot more hookups

Not ideal but I can tell you from experience you’ll still 100% get away with it.

Could use a bit more backbone in the rod, sure, but you should be fine throwing that. Technically at the upper recommended lure rating, but well within realistic usage

I’d be sure to be on the upper end of the rod’s line rating or else you might lose it into the abyss
