Hi everyone. I’m having issues with my E40 10inch composite auger. It won’t cut more than a 1/2 inch and then just bounces on the ice. The blades appear to be in great shape and are very sharp. I’m starting to wonder if the center point is the issue. I would think it should stick out more than it is. Wondering if anyone could show me a picture of what theirs looks like so I can compare? Not quite sure how to fix the issue, if that is the problem. Any tips or tricks would be much appreciated. Tight lines!

I know when I use the wrong speed setting (1 or 2) on my Milwaukee drill the auger will bite and then jump like you’re discussing.
I think your tip might be missing. Also, you’re not in reverse right? Had to ask
Didn’t put the new blades on upside down did ya
One of your blades looks upside down
Realized I posted a picture with one of the blades upsid down. My bad. That was corrected before I finished installing them. Blades were correct when I tested on the ice today.

Are the blades sharp? Dull blades will skip and jump.
Did you sharoen them yourself? If so you could have thrown off the pitch of the blades.
