Hello!

Is this cardinal tetra gravid?

If so, how do I proceed to hatch the eggs? It’s the first time it has happened for me in a community tank and I don’t know if I should separate the gravid female or let nature run its course (which I think is a bad idea).

Thanks in advance 🙂

sorry to write that, but you have no chance to raise neon tetra.

If you ask the question, there is no way fry survive. If you know the drill by heart, you may have tiny hope.

I’m not a master by any stretch of the imagination but almost all things that could be good or bad for fish can always be supported with an isolation into a quarantine tank with an air rock and right temp.

Best outcome is that if it’s gravid it lays the eggs and they don’t get randomly eaten or filtered and worse case is you have isolated it in case if disease and can treat when it’s more obvious.

Good luck and don’t let that other guy discourage you! Asking for help is always okay and most folks in this sub are super dope
