Would the highlighted area be a good place to look for crappie?
Or would I be better off in the middle of the main basin?
Also, where would you set up your pop up shelter if you were planning to ice camp?

Depending on how large that body of water is, I would start there and drill holes out towards the flats. They should be holding in the water column and easy to spot with electronics. Set up once you’ve found them
