it has been a South American cichlid setup so far. I had discus, rams, apistos. if something died, a cascade effect would take out the discus. They lasted about 2 years. I'm not sure if I should try discus again, or move on to something new. Growing baby discus is a real chore. maybe a puffer?

A tone of pumps and hear indoor jacuzzi 😂 I’m really not sure I’m thinking about getting a tank soon

I like Severums and medium size SA Cichlids and a bunch of schooling fish and maybe a nice big group of Corydoras. I really love Oscars but personally they get so big I think they deserve 180-250g+.

Angel fish and more tetras! Angels are hardier than discus and fit the bill for a South American community setup

Puffers will be an aggression nightmare and won’t get along with the other current inhabitants

I was looking at freshwater puffers recently, most of them like to bury themselves in sand sometimes so if you dont mind them rearranging a little bit then a fakah or lined puffer would enjoy this tank.
