I don’t know the names of most of these things or how to rig them or anything, any help or pointers to videos with explanations would be much appreciated!

Haha it’s okay. This is a pretty normal rookie mistake. You got a box with a little bit of everything and you’ll probably wind up not using most of it. It’s okay! You’ll figure out what works and use some of it, and eventually you’ll dump out the box and just use the box with the stuff you like using. What species you’re fishing for and a general approximate location/type of water you’ll be fishing would help us out here on what you need to try using.

  2. most of the stuff you are gonna use is on the right – at least for bass fishing.
the hooks are EWG (extra wide gap) used for soft plastic womrs and lizards. (google texas rig soft plastics)
the round sinkers are called split shot – I only use these if im live bait fishing and need weight to cast.
the cone shaped sinkers are called bullet weights. you use these when texas rigging.

The botton part of the middle row are jig heads
you will use those fishing things like plastic grubs and minnow baits
top half of the middle row are slide weights – you probably wont ever use these

top compartment on the left has some spinners (probably wont use these)
sinker stops are the tings on wire – you put these infront of the bullet weight to keep the sinker from sliding forward
the O rings are for wacky rigging a senko (google wacky rig)
the next compartment down are leaders – you probably wont use these unless you decide to catfish
last two compartments are just swivels and snap rings
