These are my forktail rainbowfish, and i was watching my tank and saw this female in the cave just swimming straight into the glass non stop, full speed. And then the male is trying to mate or something, but is this bad? Ive never seen a fish swim STRAIGHT into the glass? And also shes been doing it for over 10 minutes now without stopping, Usually glasssurfing is in circles or back and forth but if anyone knows lmk thanks

I can’t confirm what’s happening, but the oblivious cory sent me.
Update turned tank light off and tried to slowly get her out of the cave but nothing changed just still straight into the glass, im worried now as its been over 15 minutes, shes just like completely in a trance
Almost like she can’t figure out how to turn around. The other fish is so cute like they are trying to help! I’m not sure what id do in this situation. Maybe try covering the glass on the outside with something for awhile?
I love bottom feeding fish, especially Cory, just seem to ignore whatever is going on around them 😭
I have that same thing and it took awhile for the fish to realize there was an exit & where the exit was. They’ll get used to it.
Well… My killifish vibrate beside each other when they’re baby-making. I’d bet it’s that provided they aren’t both male. If they’re both male then one of them is about to be the others dinner.
What is this cave and where can I get it?
“Freeeedooooommmmm!!!!”
Probably trying to make a swim for it, but feels she is trapped. (From the male) orrrr she is doing some weird fish dance to let him know she approves.
I had four of these jam themselves into a snail trap and kill themselves. Deeply, deeply stupid fish. I love them so much.
