Would love to hear some thoughts on this reel. I can get it for $60 on FB marketplace. It's new old stock with 7wt line. I mostly target trout and panfish but would like to do some bass fishing this year. Would this work well? And any suggestions on a rod for this?

Buy it !
I used one for 20+ years. The only reason I’m not still using it is due to it getting bent when I dropped my rig while falling off a short cliff. Sent it to Orvis but they couldn’t unbend it
I bought one brand new 3/4 when I bought my silver label TL back in 2001. Still working great today.
I have a 3/4 of that same reel and it’s a great reel only thing I’ve noticed is it’s a heavy beetch and I’d put a Orvis Clearwater rod with it in a 6 or 7wt for bass
These are built like tanks and usually go for more on ebay. Extra spools are dirt cheap. I have the 3/4, 5/6, and 8/9.
Buy it, I bought two when I started, used for years, now they’re my backups/loaners for buddies and I expect my son who is 5 will be learning with it in next few years
