Hi,

In a few days I will be attending my first trout area fishing tournament and last minute I decided I want to try Daiwa reel on one of my rods. Did some research and I found out the cone shaped line lay is recommended for Daiwa but what about the line capacity? Is this optimal? I’m throwing 0.8 to 2 grams max.

This is on Daiwa Iprimi, something like Fuego bud for trout fishing.

Thanks

Thats all the line that should be on there. 100% full. I tend to go a little less because I find that although the first couple casts are great, the line tends to tangle up before long and a bit gets stripped out anyway. The easier the line comes off the reel, the more likely a tangle will happen.

But hey, you may fish all day and be fine. Thats a sweet reel. Good luck putting some weight im your bag.
