Aquariums: Moving My Full 150 Gallon with Lift Jacks
I had to move my aquarium away from the wall for an electrician to do a repair, this video is moving is back into place. I can’t tell if using wood and lift jacks was the smartest or dumbest thing I’ve ever done. What do you think?

Well I’d have removed at least 100 of those 150 gallons…..Jesus!

Tank stands are not designed to take horizontal force. Every time you push, you are moving the center of balance/gravity forward (towards the front of the stand). You better hope it rights itself when you are done moving it, or your tank stand will actually have a slight vertical angle toward the direction from which you pushed. And the load won’t be centered

Fish should not die from draining a tank and refilling it unless you used city water without using a water conditioner to de-chlorinate,You used water that was too hot or too cold or some kind of huge PH swing sometime seen in well water and even that isn’t usually fatal but it will put them on the bottom for a day. I do water changes weekly taking a 125g full of discus down to 2” inches of water. I refill with aged water at the same temperature and ph no issues.

When I read the title mentioning lift jacks and saw the pic, I thought no way he would try and lift that tank and I was expecting the worst.
Fortunately, I assumed incorrectly.

Dude just get three 55 gallon plastic drums and save the water

Oh man the stress you put on the glass is intense. You are so lucky it didn’t shatter. The slightest shift or tap the wrong way and you could still have it pop.
