

Decided to get Pablo some cherry shrimp friends , they didn’t last a day 🥲🥲 He’s an alone type of guy I guess , excuse the floaters in the water he just had his dinner then I discovered the shrimp are gone , he doesn’t even look ashamed . Peep the side eye in the second pic 😭

With shrimp and bettas I think it usually has a higher success rate if you have the shrimp in there before the Betta, just so that it feels less like the shrimp are encroaching on his territory
Shrimps is a betta food ingredient. He’s looking at you like that for even implying he should be ashamed. Why you guilt betta for eating the yummy treat you gave him? LOL
try amano shrimp next time! theyre much larger, and if theyre not babies theyre too big for a betta to just gobble up. a spicy betta could definitely still cause issues for them, but atleast theyre not bite sized </3
i have three amanos in a 10 gal with my betta, i introduced the shrimp about two weeks before the fish. i think i got lucky with my betta though because hes got no interest in chasing them. most of the time he entirely ignores the shrimp, but sometimes he’ll swim up and check them out for a moment
