Hey everyone. Looking to get into saltwater fly fishing for redfish and found this setup on marketplace. Redington Predator 9wt with a Redington Rise reel and Rio redfish fly line that I can pick up for $300. Is this a good setup and good deal? Seller says the rod and reel have both never been fished, only lawn casted.
Any advice would be appreciated since I don’t know much about saltwater fly fishing. Not looking for any fancy or super expensive setup as I will probably only fish for reds on the fly a few times a year. Thanks!

Rise is a good reel.

Reel: no
Not a bad price at all. I’d probably go for it. Alternately you could save some scratch with a Maxcatch salt pro and sparta reel or premier x rod with an avid reel. They’d likely throw in a gold line as a bonus.
