Just a heads up if anyone has this shrimp hide, and your betta is smaller, you may wanna take it out. I just got Lucky a couple of days ago and I found him wedged in it. I don’t even know how he managed to fit himself in there the first place.
It makes me feel bad cause he was scared of his new surroundings and was very jumpy. Any movement he’d freak out 😭 He was just starting to come around 😢 I just lost my other betta last month…

So sorry this happened to you! One of my fish died the same way but in one of those 3D printed betta houses or whatever. Should definitely be used with caution.
Im sorry for your losses 🙁
Try covering the outside with moss next time. This way its not an open hole for them to try and fit through. Makes the floating plastic also look less fake
Labyrinth fish in general (bettas, gouramis, paradise fish, etc) are the ultimate “stuck” fish in that they get stuck more frequently than most aquarium fish. They are notorious for wanting to explore crevaces and holes with no plan for getting back out again. It’s critical to always set up their tanks in a way where they can’t get stuck anywhere. Live and learn.
