So I’m a pretty experienced angler but I’m usually a power fisherman, typically use a lot of M/MH/H rod setups. I have these two smaller size reels that I would like to setup for panfish and occasional bass. The Sahara 1000 is slightly bigger than the plueger president 20. What length and power rods would be perfect for these?

A medium or medium light with moderate to slow action 7ft or less should work well with either of those reels. Granted every rod is different use whatever fits best with your reel. Don’t buy anything that doesn’t feel good in the hands.
