It’s just a 5.5G tank that I keep for this 3+ year old former “baby girl” betta from PetCo and her mystery snail companion. I know some would say 5G is not enough, but she seems to be less happy in bigger tanks and hides more, even with a lot of cover. In here, she is chunky, interactive, clever.
And I know the snail is a big bioload for a small tank, but there are two sponge filters and the water gets changed twice per week and replaced with RO. 🙂
I used to be obsessive about having only natural looking aquariums with only live plants, but I would just get annoyed with upkeep, plants dying, tons of algae, and just didn’t like having aquariums anymore. When I downgraded to just one, with some hardy plants, and doing whatever fun theme I could think of every few months, I started enjoying the hobby again.
Anyway, just thought I’d share our recent remodel.

The western theme is adorable! Is the short cactus a little planter?
The horse genuinely made me laugh! I’ve never seen a tank like this and I love it!
If you get tired of “maintaining” your fish tank don’t get pets at all because they have needs and requirements just like dogs and cats.
I reckon ya do a bit of research before just throwing shit in and you may enjoy the hobby a bit more 😄👍🏼
This is adorable and I totally co-sign as it’s 5.5g with plenty of filtration, no sharps, and no crevices for your betta to get stuck in. Super fun theme and execution. Enjoy—looks like your cute chonky girl is loving it!
This is so cute!!!
The little floating hide is so cute. It reminds me of one of those play places like in a McDonald’s with the parts kids sit in and can look out the little bubble windows lol
Where do you get the cute floating hide 🥹
It’d be so funny if you tied moss on the back of the horse 🤣
whose horse is that?
Very cute
Sorry , is this ragebait ?
Where can I find that specific floating house? I have very old fish and they’d appreciate that.
