Another 10!?

What a phenomenal Valentine’s Day!

I brought my fiancé eat out at Zeas and in return she blessed me with her expert level netting skills.She netted an 8lber earlier in the day and then later netted this absolute beast of a 10lber. I truly thought I had just another 2-3lber as I was catching those regularly throughout the day. I knew I was around a stump which could make a 2lber feel huge, right? So I ran to the back of the boat to get my line around the stump and this fish said that ain’t happening and started to really pull. At that point I’m thinking WTF is it a catfish or something? Then it shows itself and I’m like HOLY HELL! I knew it was large but was only thinking a 6-7lber… I get it around the stump and then it snags itself in a fallen branch which I then bring up to the surface with the fish! then the fish comes out of the branch and rips drag under the boat. I then get it back to the surface right to my fiancé, who nets it.

I was in complete disbelief that I’ve boated yet another 10. This is number 5 and the second one within a month or so.

Each time I catch one, I think it’s probably my last one as I have fished for 33 years before ever catching my first. Absolutely crazy and I am so excited I had my absolute best friend with me this day.
