Aquariums: Moving with shrimp/ fish

My bf and I moved with a 2.5 month old baby, a dog, and our (my) 30 gal fish tank at the start of this month. If we can do it you can too!!

I think I need more substrate but this stuff it expensive so it’s a very slow work in progress… is there anything else less expensive than the fluvial stratum that would work with what I have of it?

I need more plants too. But it’s a slow process for me as well…
