Betta Fish: What Type of Betta is He?

Hi everyone,

I recently got this boy from pets at home. He was sold to me as a half moon, but his tail and fins were significantly different from the other half moons in store. I decided he was the one considering he had comparably shorter fins and a tail, as he’s being housed in a well planted 10 gallon long tank.

I initially thought he could have been a veil tail, or delta but I’m inclined to believe he isn’t a half moon.

What do you think?

PS – he’s hanging out in his feeding corner in this photo. Since being fed, he’s been exploring the tank.
