Is there any way to encourage more micro fauna to reproduce? I want to put 15-20 chili Rasboras in here but my Betta is a pig and gobbles up all the food, even the smallest pellets. I want to make sure they'll be able to eat. I need more detritous worms, and more copepods!

  1. I’m definitely not an expert here, but you could add something like yeast, or spirulina or chlorella powder to the tank to feed them. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Try culturing micro worms? My betta ignores them because they’re tiny but the chilis go nuts for them!

  3. Its impossible to keep up with the demand and try to culture anything really in the same aquarium you are keeping the fish youre feeding in.

For me the most significant reason would be to successfully culture and have a high yield of daphnia, dero/microfex or the likes is mostly achieved in conditions your fish wouldn’t survive

I mentioned those two in particular because copepods will not be enough and daphnia is easy to find and culture.
detritus worms are not an actual specific species of worm and majority of the time the ones being called detritus worms are in fact dero/microfex worms. Also easy to find and easy to culture and a superior live food for nano fish
