It was impossible to get any mocrofauna established in my tank when I had minnows. Now that I just have ember tetras with tiny mouths I am having more luck. These blackworms have been worming for about two months now. The loaches like to dig them up, but I have not seen the frogs hunting worms yet. They seem to prefer snails and shrimps.

  1. Your ember tetras might have a go at them yet.. Yes, their mouths are tiny, but they actually have very sharp little teeth! Mine chomp live blackworms into smaller chunks before eating them (with the kind of enthusiasm that reminds me that tetras and pirhanas are close relatives).
