Hi guys, i need some advice.

I had this dead spot appear last week, where grass looked dead, and all happened in the span of a night.

After much consideration I decided to remove all the dead dwarf hairgrass and leave the spot empty for a week untill pay day and will get more.

After removing the dead spot, say 4 days later, it has spread to more of the hairgrass and another plant next to it. And it has died OVERNIGHT!!!! Yesterday i did aquarium maintenance and added some new plant the grass was fine,i wake up today and see the grass turned dark brown literally Overnight.

What the hell is this?

No swings in parameters. Parameters are all 0. i have veeeeeeeery little bioload and ALOT of plants thus the 0 nitrate. Have co2 running. No changes in light. The dwarf hairgrass has been growing slowly but fine, untill this dead spot came out of nowhere a week ago. This is not the dwarf hairgrass itself withering as on the right side of the aquarium its growing fine, it was also growing fine until the overnight sudden change,it is something else underneath it which i cannot understand or comprehend why or how or what caused it. AND HOW DOES IT HAPPEN SO FAST???!!! OVERNIGHT! (Meaning from 7pm till 10am, lights are off than and i let the fish rest and dont observe the aquarium during that time)

What do you guys reckon this is? Do i need to remove substrate till the bottom aswell as the melted/dwad hairgrass? Anything i need to add to the aquarium? Is this fungal?
