Hi starting out with carp and barbel fishing, bought my first reel, was in my budget, not used to fresh water fishing, will invest more if I enjoy it. Is this a good beginner reel? 😅

Any reel that gets you out fishing is a good reel I’ve never had and issue with Okuma reels

I’m assuming you’re South African? The Okuma range is good stuff and the Barbarian is a nice bait runner for the price. I’ve used Okuma stuff many times and never had an issue.
